Digital Design and Media Production is designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction to the principles and practices of graphic design, video production, and social media marketing. The course covers various topics, including audience identification, graphic design elements and principles, advertising and marketing, videography, and social media. Students will learn the importance of planning and research in communication as well as fair use and copyright laws. They will also develop skills in logo design, videography, and social media marketing while producing a 60-second news package and an ad plan tailored to their target audience. Students will critically analyze the growth of social media and explore the impact of the internet on the advertising and marketing world. Through a combination of lessons, hands-on activities, and projects, students will gain valuable media production experience in an increasingly digital world.
