2nd Grade Art

Term: N/A

Online: Yes
Paper: No

Accomodated/Modified Available: No

Description:
2nd Grade Art provides students with a variety of foundational art skills including creative expression, art across culture and time, art’s use in everyday life, and critical evaluation. Students will work with a variety of art mediums including markers, crayons, colored pencils, print, yarn, sculpture, and modeled forms. They must use their senses to gather information about subjects in an environment and recreate them using artistic tools. Projects will be age-appropriate, including painting and coloring from experiences, depicting objects in nature, and expressive use of basic art elements. Nearing the end of the course, students must attend a real or virtual art exhibit. Then, they will gather artwork they produced throughout the school year and present a portfolio of work during the last month of class.
